David Bennett of DAB Strategies joins Highbury Energy Inc. as Director, Renewable Fuel Gas, bringing a depth of industry decarbonization leadership and fuel switching.
VANCOUVER, BC – We’re excited to welcome David Bennett to the Highbury Energy Inc. team as Director, Renewable Fuel Gas — a pivotal addition as we accelerate our mission to build a low-carbon energy future and the decarbonization of pulp mill lime kilns, power boilers and other industrial heating applications.
With more than 35 years of leadership across the North American energy sector — including senior roles at FortisBC, Westcoast Energy and Shell Canada — David is widely recognized as a pioneer in renewable fuels. He led the FortisBC team that launched North America’s first utility Renewable Natural Gas program in 2011, setting a new benchmark for innovation in the decarbonization of gas systems.
David’s strategic insight, deep industry knowledge and proven track record of turning ideas into impactful solutions will strengthen our drive to scale renewable fuel switching projects, forge transformative partnerships, and help deliver meaningful industry decarbonization goals.
David holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Victoria with a double major in economics and computer science.
