Thank you Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) for supporting the Fort Frances Ontario-based Wanagekong-Biiwega’iganan Clean Energy Corporation (WBCEC) FEED study project. WBCEC is an Indigenous-led joint venture between 10 Treaty 3 First Nation communities and Vancouver based Highbury Energy Inc. Access to a long-term biomass supply chain will be provided by the First Nations and the integrated biomass to Sustainable Airline Fuel (SAF) technology platform by Highbury. An initial positive feasibility project outcome facilitated the go-ahead to this next step FEED study expected to be completed by late April.
